celine print inspired skateboard

STOP IT RIGHT NOW
fashion blogger created her own celine skateboard

(images via stop it right now)

"What do you do when something is so out of reach? When in doubt, make your own! I've been obsessed - like everyone else and their moms - with the most perfect and rather iconic fashion print of 2011 and wanted to do my own spin on it by incorporating it into something that was a bit more me. What better way to marry my love of fashion and skateboarding, than to throw the two components into this perfect plank of wood? I don't know what could be more all-encompassing of what Stop It Right Now represents." (STOP IT RIGHT NOW)

ok but seriously, stop it right now, this is sick. to get your hands on one of these email stopitrightnow.blog@gmail.com while supplies last!

grilled cheese dipped in tomato soup

oh come on, you're never too old for grilled cheese!
to add some sophistication to this easy and simple meal, i found dipping each bite into some creamy rich tomato soup to be the best anchor to a cheesy sandwich. find the recipie here on food network.

i have a secret.
and i'm going to share it with you...
CAJUN SEASONING
i seriously put pepper on everything. i love a good kick to my food and if you do too i suggest trying this. it will change your life.

for those of you who need a quick fix of tomato soup and don't feel like making it from scratch, try trader joe's creamy roasted red pepper soup. its equally just as good.

serendipity's frozen hot chocolate's 57th anniversary

happy 57th anniversary to serendipity's frozen hot chocolate

"It's famous, it's infamous, it's notorious. It has destroyed diets and led to love affairs. Marriages have been proposed over it, couples have been wed in it, princes have been made from it. People have traveled from all corners of the world for just one sip of our creamy, dreamy, icy blend of chocolatey goodness. It'll make you want to blow bubbles through your straw. It makes everyone a child again." (via epicurious)

now you can have it in the comfort of your own home! serendipity shared their recipe so try it yourself. trust me, you won't be disappointed.

you will need:
6 half-ounce pieces of a variety of your favorite chocolates
2 teaspoons storebought hot chocolate mix
1 1/2 tablespoons sugar
1 1/2 cups milk
3 cups ice
whipped cream
chocolate shavings

Chop the chocolate into small pieces and place it in the top of a double boiler over simmering water, stirring occasionally until melted. Add the cocoa and sugar, stirring constantly until thoroughly blended. Remove from heat and slowly add 1/2 cup of the milk and stir until smooth. Cool to room temperature.
In a blender place the remaining cup of milk, the room temperature chocolate mixture, and the ice. Blend on high speed until smooth and the consistency of a frozen daiquiri. Pour into a giant goblet and top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings. Enjoy with a spoon or a straw...or both!

pan am: welcome to the jet age

welcome to the jet age

finally! now that entourage is finished i have something to look forward to on sunday nights besides football, family guy and desperate housewives. it was so refreshing to watch something new and exciting besides summer reality shows and repeats. not only do i love this show so far, i love the fashion of the 60s. pan am is something to feed my craving for 1960s styles until mad men comes back on in 2012. all of the women's hair is perfectly coiffed and their make, so pristine! i just can't get enough of it! if i could go back in time and live in any era, it would definately be the 60s. i have a feeling we are going to a see a lot of pan am obsessions real soon! take note of marc jacob's retro pan am travel bag!

"on the one side, it looks like a classic pan am weekend-style bag, with that typical white on blue colour scheme, as well as a double zip and hand strap. but that marc jacobs signature? that's going to have you reaching for your wallet or running a mile!" (via retro to go)

joyrich.

"From the streets of New York, to London, influences from this time and cities are evident throughout the collection. From vibrant graffiti inspired pieces, punk-themed prints, bold, eye-catching graphics, unanticipated explosions of color, and iconic referenced pieces that fans of the brand have grown to love and expect. JOYRICH's take on the street culture of the 70's will have everyone revisiting a time when self-expression, revolt, and freedom of fashion meant everything." - JOYRICH

i love discovering new stores.
i went shopping on melrose ave in LA and i discovered my new, fun, quirky and nostalgic place to shop.
first of all , the outside of the store is absolutely gorgeous and covered in vines and roses. i didn't know what to expect inside but ohhhh shit, the visual merchandising was SICK WITH IT. i took a few snap shots of what the store looked like.

band of outsiders s/s '12.

j'adore band of outsiders

designer, scott sternberg has created the most fabulous looks with my favorite accessory: a black boat hat. i honestly am loving these hats and i think it really completes his looks for what he was going for. his inspiration was from peter weir’s 1975 film picnic at hanging rock, a story about the disappearance of a group of schoolgirls on valentine’s day in 1900.

i'm obsessed with sternberg because of his LOVE for cookies. him and i are a perfect match ;) cookies + fashion. obviously can't get any better than that combo haha.
before his show, the audience had momofuku cookies to snack on and burning diptyque candles that smelled of grass and wildflowers. how lovely of him to hand out momofuku cookies (side note: everyone should try their compost cookie or their corn flake marshmallow one)!

sternberg is such a cookie freak he even started his own cookie blog: if you don't like cookies, you might not have a soul (check it out).

if you love band of outsiders, shop more here.
