you guys getting pumped for coachella yet?? i know i am considering its my first time going.... ever. anyway, these behind the scene photos from free people's new april lookbook is giving me more and more inspirations for my outfits to wear at coachella. my outfits that weekend are kind of a big deal. some people spend a lot of time planning out what they are going to wear to this festival and i think that's pretty dope. i can't wait to dip dye my hair just for that weekend with shades of pink and lavender! coachella can't come soon enough!
claire thomas, of the kitchy kitchen has yet again satisfied my taste buds. just as i'm crackin' down on my food intake, i came across her post on one dressing, two salads. this is perfect enough for my "summer's almost here diet". i love her idea of a lemon garlic vinaigrette! anything with a lemony kick to it is fine by me! the more lemon, the better. check out the two salads she made with the lemon garlic vinaigrette dressing.
Dressing: Lemon Garlic Vinaigrette
1 tablespoon lemon juice
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 garlic clove, minced
Salt and pepper to taste
Simply combine and mix until blended (I pop it in a container with a lid and shake it).
Salad 1: Roasted Vegetable Salad with Feta and Parsley
4 carrots, peeled and quartered
4 parsnips, peeled and quartered
2 rose potatoes, cut into 1 inch pieces
2 tablespoons Olive oil
1 tablespoon parsley, coarsely chopped
4 oz feta, cut into 1/2 inch pieces
1 tablespoon Lemon Garlic Vinaigrette
Preheat oven to 425F. Put the prepared vegetables into a roasting pan (with plenty of room) and sprinkle with salt and pepper and coat with olive oil. Roast for about 30 minutes, turning only once, until the vegetables are golden brown. Toss with parsley, vinaigrette, and feta. Salt and pepper to taste. Enjoy!
Salad 2: Quinoa Tabbouleh
1 cup quinoa
1/2 red onion, finely chopped
2 cucumbers, cut into 1/2 inch pieces
1/2 cup parsley, chopped
2 tablespoons mint
2 teaspoons chives
1/4 cup Lemon Garlic Vinaigrette
Cook the quinoa according to instructions and cool. Meanwhile, add the red onion to the vinaigrette to take the bite out. Combine all of the ingredients. Enjoy!
“We brought our colors and our style inside. It’s a happy, positive approach: summer colors, solar colors,” Vittorio Missoni said of the 52-story building. “Coming from the outside you’re going to be surprised. … It’s like opening a box and discovering something unexpected.”
Acqua Livingstone will be open in 2015 in Manila, Philippines (my fabulous homeland of course). This 52-story project consists of Missoni designs! The common areas, pool, lobby and gym will be covered with Missoni's signature print. Not all condos will have the Missoni designs, but will be offered for an additional premium. For one bedroom, it will start at $82,000! I can bet you that Manny "PacMan" Pacquiao will be residing in one of these babies... or maybe just his wife will... haha. Ok but seriously guys, I am completely obsessed and I can't wait to go back home to the Philippines and visit this amazing building. 2015 can't come soon enough!
in love with every thing peach. it's my favorite color to wear this spring/summer. whats even more dope about this color is that you can literally get away with wearing it with any color you want. my color of choice to mix together with peach is mint green. i decided to pair up this slouchy knitted sweater from zara with these peep toe, ankle strap wedges from zara as well. to break up the color i went with a pair of ripped up black jeans. i would prefer sticking with neutral colors to break up the two colors as well. pastels and nude mix even better than a harsh black sometimes... either or, doesn't matter :)
p.s. my favorite accessories to wear with these colors (especially peach) is anything rose gold.
now that my hair is back to its brown locks and my ombre hair has quickly faded away, i won't be afraid to rock all white this coming summer. (note: the tanner i am, the better i feel wearing all white) thats just me though :).
